Alice E. Smith, 86, of 633 Palm Ave., died yesterday in Watsonville Community Hospital.
She was a native of Illinois and had lived in Watsonville for the past 15 years.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Resetar of Watsonville; a son, Charles Smith of Santa Cruz; a sister, Mr. Pearl Burnett of Los Angeles; and four grandchildren, James Smith of Millbrae, Steve Smith of Oakland, and Nancy and
Lauren Resetar of Watsonville.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mehl's Colonial Chapel with the Rev J. Wendall Klutz officating.
Private burial will follow in Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.

Services will be Wednesday for Angelo Peter Urbani, who died at home Monday of cancer. He was 81.
Mr. Urbani was born on Encinal Street in a house that for years has been the site of Bocci's Cellar Restaurant.
A lifetime resident of Santa Cruz, Mr. Urbani attended Santa Cruz High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He took great pride in grandson Tom Urbani's rise to Major League pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Mr. Urbani was a member of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Santa Cruz, the Marconi Club, and VFW Post 7263.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lettie Urbani of Santa Cruz; three sons, Angelo Urbani of Morgan Hill, and Jim and Joe Urbani, both of Santa Cruz; his sisters, Louise Bassano and Gloria Patton, both of Santa Cruz; nine
grandchildren; and one great grandson.
His brothers Tiz Urbani an Lino Urbani preceded him in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 126 High Street, Santa Cruz.
A vigil service will take place at Norman's Family Chapel, 3630 Soquel Dr., Soquel. Friends may visit at the chapel from 1 - 5 p.m. today.
Contributions are preferred to go to the Hospice Caring Project of Santa Cruz, 6851 Soquel Dr., Aptos, Calif. 95003.
