CARMEAN - In Santa Cruz, Calif., February 9, 1959, Dr. Clyde C. Carmean. Husband of the late Eleanor Ruffcorn; father of Mrs. Constance Millslagle of Santa Cruz and Winston Carmean of Stockton, Calif.; brothers of Mrs. Ethel Van
Scoten of Santa Cruz, Mrs. Olive Eggleston of San Jose, Calif.; and William M. Carmean of Santa Cruz; also survived by 4 grandchildren. Native of Kendrick, Idaho, aged 63 years, 11 months.
Member of Santa Cruz Lodge No. 38, F. & A.M., Santa Cruz Lodge No. 824 B.P.O. Elks and member of national and local dental associations. Veteran of World War I.
Strictly private services were held in White's Chapel, 138 Walnut Ave., at 2 p.m. today with the Rev. Alexander Anderson of the Calvary Episcopal church officiating.
Private cremation followed in the I.O.O.F. crematory. 2-10-34

Funeral services will be Saturday for Lula Laurence who died Wednesday at a local hospital. She was 93.
Born in Ione, Calif., Mrs. Laurence lived in Stockton, Redwood City, and Monterey before moving to Santa Cruz ten years ago.
A graduate of San Jose State University, Mrs. Laurence taught school for three years in Brunella, Calif. She also worked for Holman's [Dept.] Store in Pacific Grove for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Uriel Laurence of Santa Cruz; sons, Delbert Laurence of Fallon, Nev., and U. Ewayne Laurence of Scotts Valley; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Norman's Family Chapel, 3620 Soquel Dr., Soquel. The Rev. J. Bernard Cornielusen will officiate.
Friends may call at Norman's Family Chapel from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
Private interment will be in IOOF Cemetery.
