    Charles Cummings, formerly of this city, son-in-law of Mrs. Roundtree, died Monday at Fresno of heart trouble. He was in the saw mill business in this county for many years.

Death of Charles Cummings
--
    Word was received here yesterday of the sudden death of Charles Cummings at Pine Ridge, where he operated a saw mill. Mr. Cummings was ailing with consumption for quite a time, but none of his friends thought that the end would
be so sudden, besides he had improved of late.
    Shortly after eating his evening meal Tuesday, he was seized with a violent fit of coughing and burst a blood vessel. He expired a few minutes later, before anyone could reach him.
    Mr. Cummings left a wife and four children to mourn his death. He was a native of Canada and 52 years nof age. The funeral will take place from the Toll House today.
