--
    Mrs. Sarah Lungman, 80, Richmond, Utah, died at a local hospital Monday afternoon shortly after being admitted. She had been living with her daughters, Mrs. Delmont Jones, 350 21st St., for the past year and had been ill for a
short time.
    She was born Feb. 26, 1873, at Winston County, Ala., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elisha R. Laurence. She came to Idaho as a young girl with her parents to Whitney, where she met Alfred L[j]ungman, whom she married July 6, 1904,
in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death May 6, 1940.
    She had been an active member of the LDS Church in the Relief Society.
    She is survived by the following sons and daughters:
    Mrs. Jones, Idaho Falls; Clifford A. Lungman, Logan, Utah; Mrs. Roland Webber and Mrs. Melba Baird, of Los Angeles; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. W.O. Thompson, Downey; half-brothers and sisters,
Mrs. Julia Johnson, Preston; Mrs. Myrtle Bedgood, Elisha Laurence, Uriel Laurence, Hartwell Laurence, Henry Laurence, Van Laurence and Mrs. Delna Shanks, all of San Francisco.
    Funeral Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Richmond Tabernacle, with Bishop Justin Erickson officiating. Friend may call at the family home in Richmond from 9 a.m. Friday morning until time of services. Interment will
be in the Richmond Cemetery under the direction of the Wood Funeral Home of Idaho Falls.

    Josephine M. Rogers, 78, a retired teacher and Santa Cruz resident since1919, died Tuesday in a local convalescent hospital following a long illness.
    A native of Illinois, she moved as a child to southern Oregon. After graduating from Reed College in Portland, Ore., in 1917, she immediately took service with the Army medical corps as a reconstruction aide and spent the war
years in hospitals in the United States and France.
    Following her discharge, she accepted a position with the Santa Cruz city schools as head of the girls' high school physical education program.
    After her marriage in 1922 to James Rogers, she taught the same subject for many years in the adult evening high school. In later years she taught in Scotts Valley.
    Prominent in musical affairs, she was a member of the viola section of the San Jose symphony for two years. She was also one of the original players in the Santa Cruz symphony and served from its inception in 1968.
    She was a member of the A.A.U.W., the National and State Retired Teachers Assns., The Sierra Club, the Audubon Society, and the Santa Cruz Bird Club.
    She is survived by her husband, James B. Rogers; a brother, John S. Saunders of Santa Cruz; a nephew; a grandniece and a grandnephew.
    No services were held and no donations were asked.
