"Carl Hansen ['29] earned a degree in printing engineering from Carnegie Tech and returned to teach at SCHS from 1941 until he retired in 1971. During his 30 yrs of teaching and following his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed many adventures in
travel....He now lives at Sunshine Villa in SC where he enjoys several activities."

Services will be Sunday and Monday for Carl F. Hanson who passed away September 14, 2005 at Dominican Hospital. He was 94.
Carl was born in Sierra Madre, California on April 17, 1911. A native of California, he lived in Santa Cruz for the past 85 years. He retired from Santa Cruz City Schools having taught printing at Santa Cruz High from 1941 to
1971. During his teaching career, many summers were spent backpacking with students on the John Muir Trail and over time Carl has hiked the entire John Muir Trail. Having completed his college degree in printing, his favorite things, were printing,
photography and hiking.
Carl's wife Olivia preceded him in death in 1995. For their Golden Anniversary they took and Amtrac tour throughout the United States. They also enjoyed extensive international travel.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Karges of Ben Lomond; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The funeral procession will leave Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St, Santa Cruz Monday September 19, 2005 at 10:30 am for Holy Cross Catholic Church 126 High St, Santa Cruz where a Mass of Christian burial
will be celebrated at 11:00 am. A vigil service will be held at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel Sunday September 18, 2005 at 7:00 pm. Visitation will be at the chapel on Sunday from 1:00 pm until service time. Interment will be in Holy Cross
Cemetery 2271 7th Ave, Santa Cruz, CA.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Habitat for Humanity, 9850 Monroe Ave, Aptos, CA 95003 or to your favorite charity.

Henry W. Perruccio, a worker for the E.V. Moceo Co. in Santa Cruz for more than 30 years, died in Prunedale Friday. He was 69.
He recently moved to Prunedale to be with his daughter.
A native of Wisconsin, his family moved to San Francisco when he was child. The family later farmed in Pescadero.
He worked with the E.V. Moceo Co. from 1951 til he retired in 1984.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Martin of Prunedale; his mother, Lena Perruccio of Santa Cruz; two sisters, Mary Madrid of Santa Cruz and Rose Fama of San Francisco; a grandson and 4 great grand nieces.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church.
The rosary will be recited at Holy Cros Church at 7 p.m. today. Friends may call at Norman's Family Chapel, 3620 Soquel Dr., Soquel, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. today.
Entombment will be in the Holy Cross Masoleum.
