My Photo Gallery17th June 2007 - Natural Arch at Crossons, Colorado. For Father's Day, Ashlee Christlieb & Josie Chavez took they dads to Crossons, Colorado. Actually, Jeff's been wanting to go here for a couple of years now. The Natural Arch is located about 1/4 mile west of the old townsite of Crossons which was located between Pine & Bailey, Colorado. The railroad had a water tank here which was sitting right next to the North Fork of the South Platte River. Deer Creek flows into the Platte here. Across the Platte River was a natural rock formation called "Natural Arch." 13th November 2006 - Cody Christlieb. While vacation in Orlando, Florida, I lost the my best friend to old age. Cody had traveled with me all over Colorado and can be seen at the bottom in my January 2002 photo album of Platte Canyon. At a moments notice, Cody was always ready to travel to James Peak, Mt. Evans, Durango, Cripple Creek, Glenwood Springs, etc., etc. You never realize how much you miss them until they are gone. We had 16 years together and we traveled a lot of miles. Good bye little buddy. 30th October 2005 - Colorado Midland Railroad Tunnels. This was the first time the family had a chance to get together and try out our new digital camera. We joined the Museum in January of 2001, and since our membership would expire on the 31st of January 2002, we thought we'd take one more trip. 23rd January 2002 - Platte Canyon, Colorado. I had five hours to myself, and today was the day I was going to head to the mountains for a digital photo shoot. Unfortunately, it snowed, but I went anyway. This was my trip along the northern fork of the South Platte River, from Buffalo Creek to the little hotel at South Platte. In the ten miles that I drove, I saw no one. |
