(Argos was also Adm when daughter Anna died.) On 19 Mar 1998 I sent letter to Hist/Gen Soc to ask why he might have been there. I got back a letter saying "The only Wamsley we have on James Knox Wamsley, I am sending it on to you." What they sent is a "verdict of jury" in the matter of the inquisition on the body of James Knox Wamsley deceased, held at Carrolton on 21 Mar 1885 (verdict was an embolism, so natural causes). Could James be his father's brother?
