records provided by Sharon (Sprouse) Bramhall 5312 Devon Dr North
Olmsted OH 44070 (216-734-7434) in 1995 correspondence (Evd 1394).
I also
have a memo that Christian Ash got land in Tyler Co by virtue of
a Treasury warrant for 100 acres in 1810, McElroy Fork of Middleplant
Creek, and that there was a sale by Christian Ash in Tyler Co Dec
term 1828, bought by Jacob Ash, Isaac Underwood, Christian Swiger,
Thomas Ash, Savannah Ash, and widow not named. [Evd 552]. Need
to get a copy of this original record.
It
seems obvious that many researchers have called Christian Christopher
because they were mixing him up with his cousin Christopher Swiger.

I have a copy of handwritten Underwood Cemetery reading (Evd 205)
done by an unknown person at an unknown time but no later than the
1970's. It says Christopher Ash died 20 Aug 1842. That is probably
an error that s/b 20 Aug 1828, because his estate was in Dec term
1828. I need to get someone to check out the tombstone to see
if there is a date someplace on the broken part.
