How to design your own logo utilizing free resources:

Your Logo

 1.  Download either from "openoffice.org"
or from "staroffice," which I have (thank you Google),
      but am familiar with openoffice.
 2.  Open "draw."
 3.  Click on the big T on the bottom menu bar, to open a text box.

Three fun samples:

My choice:  example

Hover background for your logo:
Make a logo (above), then place it on:

blank swatch
blank swatch

Here is 'my choice' (above) on the blank hover background:
i.e.1
i.e. 1

Next add a pointer (same width as your logo) to the top third:
i.e.2
i.e. 2

Then add the bottom third, in case 'visited' is enabled on the viewing browser:
i.e.3
i.e. 3

Finally, add the style to your css:
ahover.css

And try-out your new hover pseudoclass-a (as I did, directly above).

Here are some of my logos on hover backgrounds as examples (on another page):  Copyrighted Logos
You are welcome (per honor agreement) to adapt those shown,
by replacing my logo with your own,
then adding my label to your page.
Later, you can follow-up by clicking on that label,
and answering researchable questions (when, of course, I've got some).

Some hover background pseudoclass-a's to edit for learning:

If you are surfing with any one of the Internet Explorer browsers, I'd be very surprised if your page looks like the one I designed.  When selected, the arrowhead image should change to show my logo (my hover image):

click to compare what you are viewing with what I designed.

"Position Is Everything," especially if you’re the "top bundler."
P.S. Go Firefox!
