In 1841, Robert McMillan and his family were listed on the 1841 Scotland Census Record in the Civil Parish of Sorbie, County of Wigtownshire, and Address of Gartliestown Cow Gate.His wife was Mary- born 1811 in Ireland. He moved here to Scotland with his wife and had five children-all born in Scotland. His third child, Matthew McMillan, is my most distant first direct ancestor on my paternal line who came to America
