Who are we?

Submitted by Pat Mata

Here is another unknown. The picture could be parents, children and grandchildren. It is so interesting that the three girls and baby are dressed in such nice little dresses of eyelet and the father is so weatherworn. The four standing adults, I have studied to see if they are all siblings or two couples and I cant make a determination on that either.... just seems that the two seated are married ... and it is their family.. I cant really tell what time period but looks as if the women are wearing longs skirts and the girls black stockings. I just have no clue as to who this might be but by the looks of the curtain that was hung for the picture it was taken by a traveling photographer? No name or makings any where on the edges of the picture or the cardboard it is mounted on.

Tell Me More About Aunt Nancy!

Submitted by Pat Mata

Back of picture reads, my "Aunt Nancy Levert"... that would mean she was Nancy Johnson as listed on the 1870 census as a child of James Wilson Johnson, born in KY about 1848. I have never found a marriage or census finding for this family. Were there any descendents? My grandmother told me and showed me where she was buried in Siloam Cemetery by some cedar trees now cut down. Can any one offer any help on locating descendents of this lady?

With Whom Does William Belong??

Submitted by Pat Mata

William Johnson is written on the back of the photo but who is he? What family does he belong? Only clue might be that he is a descendent of James Wilson Johnson who brought his family to AR by 1870 with sons, William, Henry, Andrew, and James.

Tell Me More About Little Elmer!

Submitted by Pat Mata

This may be Elmer Robinson s/o of W Henry Robinson and Mozelle Hawkins.. can any one verify? If so, he was born probably after 1905 when his parents married.

Super Center of Days Gone By!

Submitted by Pat Mata

This is a picture that my mother thought was of a store in Maynard. Possible that is Andy Johnson on the right...but who are the others??

Could This Be Jesse Johnson??

Submitted by Pat Mata

Back of picture says Jesse Johnson.. but what family did he belong? Looks like the brother of William and perhaps the teacher in the school picture.. Is it possible this is the Jesse that married Mona Roberts? And is the above picture of William the William Wilson Johnson that married Arizona Etta Gambel? Got the names from the marriage lists. If so possible children of Henry Johnson and Frances Devault,,,,,, buried in Siloam cemetery. (which would make sense to me as they would be grandmothers cousins)
