MOUNT AIRY - Mr. Johnny Carroll Johnson, 77, of Mount Airy, husband of Mary Elizabeth Johnson, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005. Mr. Johnson was born in Surry County on March 23, 1928, son of the late John Brady and Christian Nichols Johnson. He was in the highway-construction business for many years. Surviving are his loving wife, Mary E. Johnson of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth J. and Alan H. Bills of Charlotte and Maria Ann Johnson of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren Robert Hartwell Bills and Lauren Elizabeth Bills, both of Charlotte; and four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Fay J. Prather of Mount Airy, Benny J. and Clinton Moseley, also of Mount Airy, Marian J. and Tom York of White Plains and Rachel J. Barr of King. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, at White Plains Friends Church, with the Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday, Aug. 21, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to White Plains Friends Church, P.O. Box 3, White Plains, NC 27031. Moody Funeral Home of Mount Airy is serving the Johnson family.

Burial: Aug 21, 2005, Skyline Memorial Gardens
