Ola Mae Holder Nunn, 85, 1099 Aarons Creek Road, Virgilina, Va., went home to the Lord on June 18, 2004, while a resident at the Woodview Nursing Home, South Boston, Va. Born April 26, 1919 in Amelia, Va., she was the daughter of the late Almedia Vaughn and Joseph Monroe Holder and the wife of the late Cabble Willie Nunn Sr., to whom she was married for 55 years. She devoted her life to serving her God, family, friends, Aarons Creek Baptist Church and her local community. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, C.W. Nunn and his wife, Janet Elliott, of Lynchburg; her daughter, Joanne N. Satterfield of Fairfax; sisters, Stella L. Phelps of Crownsville, Md. and Rose H. Dodson and her husband, Waldo, of Sanford, N.C.; brothers, Jesse J. Holder and his wife, Onis, and Guy S. Holder and his wife, Sarah, of Richmond; grandchildren, Craig W. Nunn and his wife, Ellen, of Charlotte, N.C., Daniel E. Nunn of Seattle, Wash. and Amanda B. Nunn of Lynchburg. She was preceded in death by sisters, infant Mattie G. Holder, Bertha H. Robinson, Clara H. Smith, Lochra H. Hayes; brothers, Arnold M. "Mack" Holder, Ellis C. Holder, and Wilson C. Holder. Visitation for family and friends will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 25, at Brooks Funeral Home, 115 Main St., South Boston, Va., and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 26, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Aarons Creek Baptist Church with interment in church cemetery. Rev. Bill McEntire and Rev. Richard Cooke will be officiating. A reception will follow in the Community House nearby. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Aarons Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 1066 Aarons Creek Rd., Virgilina, Va. 24598, or Treasurer, Midway Volunteer Fire Dept., 1116 Siesta Lane, Virgilina, Va. 24598.
