BELOW NOTES ARE FROM SANDY DUFF'S REPORT
Notes for ELIZA ELLEN KEY:
The informant for Ella's death was her husband, John W. Campbell of
Adams, NE. He names her parents and their birthplaces.
OBITUARY. The Adams Weekly Globe, 21 April 1918, p2. (Adams, NB)
Eliza Ellen KEY was born near Peoria, Illinois, February 25, 1870.
When ten years of age she with her parents moved to a farm near Lenox,
Iowa, where she received her education and taught school. At the age
of sixteen she united with the Christian church. September 18, 1890,
she was united in marriage to J. W. CAMPBELL, and, believing husband
and wife should belong to the same church, she transferred her
membership to the Methodist church, of Adams, of which her husband was
a member and in which she was a most faithful member. Her love,
patience, and devotedness to her family, and her persevering kindness
to all, were unbounded. By her pure and noble life she has blessed
all who knew her, especially those closest and dearest, which seemed
as a gentle touch of the Master's hand, leading them onward to nobler
and better living. April 15, 1918, after nine weeks of patient
suffering she passed away to meet her mother and baby daughter who had
done before, and whom she greeted before she went. She leaves besides
her husband three sons and two daughters: Darwin H. of Omaha; Otto M.,
Vera F., Geo. Raymond, and Elvessa at home. She is first to break the
circle of three sisters and five brothers. She also leaves a father
and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held
yesterday afternoon in the M.E. Church, conducted by the Pastor, Rev.
A. V. Hunter, and were largely attended. Interment was in Highland
Cemetery.
Notes for JOHN WATTIE CAMPBELL:
The informant was son, O.M. Campbell Omaha, NE who names John's
parents and first wife. The account says John was never in military
service. John's address at the time of death was 5110 Walker St.,
Lincoln. His occupation was farming and he was retired from it.
In the 1920 Census, John was widowed and living with 3 of his children
and his parents on the farms south of the town of Adams. OBITUARY.
The Adams Weekly Globe, 31 December 1953, p.1. John Wattie CAMPBELL

home December 24, 1953. He came to Nebraska with his parents and

The moved to Lincoln and were in charge of the Nebraska Wesleyan
dining hall for over 12 years. Mrs. CAMPBELL preceded her husband in
death in 1942. A few years later his youngest daughter came to make
