Baltimore City Nineteenth-Century Photos

This is Thomas Armiger, father of John Armiger and
          grandfather of photographer Benjamin Armiger. Thomas was born in 1793 in
          southern Anne Arundel County to John Armiger and Williaminah Whitington. In
          1818 Thomas married Elizabeth Hill and fathered six children. He died in
          December 1860 of pneumonia.

Notice the striking physical resemblance between Thomas and his son John.
