Dr. Samuel J. Belt

Samuel Jones Belt was born 6 October 1844 in Prince
George's County. He graduated from the Maryland College of Pharmacy in 1868 and
from the University of Maryland Medical College in 1876. In 1881 he lived
at 314 North Exeter Street in Baltimore and in 1912 he lived at 1516
East Preston.

This carte-de-visite was created by the Bendann Brothers probably
between 1864 and 1872.

Dr. Belt was the brother of Margaret Emily Belt in whose photo album this
picture was found.
