a black lacquered back. The original is very crisp and sharp ... unfortuntely
this scanned image is a bit dark. It is held in a paper frame about the
same size as a carte-de-visite (CDV). The photo studio was J. Henry Rooney
located at 78 West Baltimore Street, "opposite the Dime Museum." Rooney
was in business at this address between 1880 and 1886.
