The Dog Walkers'
Mimi - behind, and Chloč, pose for the camera just around sunset. Both Guinea Pigs, and pals of Michele are 3 1/2 years old now - Nov of 2004
Here's Mimi, the smaller of the two...her coat is rough ( griffon ), whereas Chloč's is soft, and silky. Vegetarians, their favorites are carrots, leafy plants, alfalfa, and processed foods in pellet form.
Chloč, the larger, weighing in at a whopping 2 pounds, is the dominating of the two, quick to claim everything as hers. They will fight sometimes, and it can be bloody if allowed...they have large teeth, so they are kept apart when left alone.
Chloč again...surely a lovable little thing. The average life-span is 8 to 9 years. They maintain themselves, and easy to care for...just feed, and clean their pen regularly. They make little noise...when petted they emit a low chuckling sound...otherwise they communicate in squeaks.
Michele says they are wonderful pets for the small apartment, or home...a joy to come home to, always so happy to greet her when she returns home from work, and wonderful company.
