The S. S. Mobil Gas

trough11tcs_spannernutflag_dwg.jpg

The S. S. Mobil Gas was the first deep sea vessel I was to serve on as an Able Bodied Seaman - AB. This is not to say it was any different from sailing AB on other waters...the water was just deeper, and more of it, but what I wanted. Photography while on the "Gas" seems not to have been the pastime of choice, considering the dearth of such here.
The photos of Swainson, and Scotty were taken on the Siwanoy, or Perryville...ships I have no pages on.
However, I must have felt moved to at least capture some images while in a storm, thankfully giving some idea of the ship's characteristics.
