Adding a Search Box

When your site gets large and it's harder for individuals to find what they're looking for, you may want to add a search box to search just your site.  There are several free ones that you can use that will work on FreePages:

  • FreeFind
    Go to http://www.freefind.com/
Here you sign up to "Add a search engine to your site."  You will need to enter your page URL and your e-mail address..  Your password and setup instructions will be e-mailed to you.

  • Picosearch
    Go to  http://www.picosearch.com/newaccount.html
Here you sign up for your search engine.  You will need to set up all the requested information.  You'll then see the web page from which you manage and customize the Picosearch tool for your website.

  • WhatUSeek
Go to http://sitelevel.whatuseek.com/  to sign up for your search engine.
