| Settings in
FrontPage 2002
| Check your settings are correct for publishing to
RootsWeb FreePages.
Go to Tools/Page Options. |

Click on the "Compatibility" tab. If you didn't
set these options before developing your pages, do so before
uploading.
- Browsers - You can leave as the default Custom, or can choose
"Both Internet Explorer and Netscape". (However, there are a
lot more browsers out there now!)
- Servers - You can leave as the default Custom, or can choose
"Apache Server" as this is what FreePages uses.
- FreePages does not support FrontPage extensions. Make sure
that the "Enabled with Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions" is
unchecked. NOTE: This option removes items from the
menu that are part of FP extensions.
- Available Technologies - You can check any of these that you
want to be available for your web design. Turning them off
will probably remove them from the menus so that you can't use them,
so it's probably best to leave them all turned on.
